Welcome to the studio!

Kristen Preble primarily works with acrylic paint with a focus on creating expressive art.  She strives to represent her subjects in a new and fresh way through layers of color and mark making, with a balance between realism and abstraction.  Kristen especially loves painting with bright colors that draw the eye and convey a feeling of joy and energy and to explore color combinations in a new and interesting way.  


A retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran, Kristen spent her career exploring the country while specializing in emergency response. Now based in Boston, MA, she is a full-time painter and flower grower, spreading beauty in her local community and beyond. In her down time you'll likely find Kristen exploring New England, where she lives with her husband, three children, and energetic pups.
